Channel 82 Interviews Chef Katie during the Aspen Food & Wine Classic
2015 was a year full of travel and new experiences for Chef Katie Button. One such experience was her June visit to the Aspen Food & Wine Classic as one of Food & Wine Magazine’s Best New Chefs.
During this incredible trip, which you can read more about here, Channel 82 interviewed Katie with Food & Wine editor Dana Cowin for their show “The Lift.”
In the interview, Katie discusses many topics, ranging from her past experience to the Asheville food scene. She describes her signature dish for the festival, salpicon de mariscos.
Of Asheville’s food community, Katie says, “Everybody’s really focused on quality ingredients and local produce. It’s full of independent restaurants, so it’s this huge diversity of chefs.”
