Cúrate Receives “40 Most Important Restaurants of the Past 40 Years” Recognition from Food & Wine
It has taken a few days for that recognition to set in over here!
A lot happens in 8 years! When the ownership team opened Cúrate in 2011, the small restaurant celebrating traditional Spanish tapas food was set to be a welcome culinary disruption in a small, but tourist-friendly mountain town. Not long after, it was clear that Chef Katie Button, Felix Meana and family would be hanging up their coats and staying awhile. However, even amid success and expansion, they still had to double-check the news themselves when they heard it, “40 Most Important Restaurants of the Past 40 Years?!” But there it was! Scrolling through a list of restaurants legendary, cutting-edge and even world-renowned, they found Cúrate.
Among greats such as The French Laundry, Daniel, Commander’s Palace, Alinea and Chez Panisse, the team at Katie Button Restaurants is honored to be placed on this list curated by Food & Wine Magazine as it celebrates its 40th year in publication. Most importantly, Chef Katie, Felix and family are thankful to the community that opened its doors and embraced the lively Spanish tapas experience, giving the concept of Cúrate a place to grow and flourish! Here’s to the next 40 years!
